Short Term Accommodation Association Australia Pty Ltd, operating under the trade name STAAA, is a volunteer organisation representing the rapidly expanding short term rental accommodation industry. This page outlines the terms and conditions governing membership in the Short Term Accommodation Association (referred to as ‘STAAA’).
These membership terms and conditions, along with the associated membership content, are subject to periodic updates. Membership Options
STAAA offers various membership tiers designed to cater to diverse member needs. The current membership options, classifications, and corresponding fees are detailed on the STAAA website. Definitions of membership packages, along with benefits and privileges, may be modified from time to time.
Membership Period
A membership commences on the date of joining the organisation and continues on a annual basis thereafter.
Membership will persist unless a written cancellation notice (via email or letter) is received by the membership team or if payment is not received. STAAA reserves the right to suspend members who breach our Members Code of Conduct.
STAAA reserves the right to adjust membership fees and updates will be made via our website. While fee adjustments might align with CPI inflation, no specific commitment to such changes is made.
Membership access and benefits commence upon sign up.
Membership Tiers
STAAA holds the authority to define membership categories and their respective criteria. Changes to categories will be made via updates to our website.
No refunds are granted during the membership year for downgrading to a lower membership tier.
Changes to membership packages must be communicated to [email protected] 30 days prior to membership renewal.
Adherence to Service Policies
STAAA reserves the right to deny service access if a member breaches relevant terms, conditions or codes of conduct.
Membership Termination
Membership may be terminated if a member violates terms, conditions, or the code of conduct. Upon cancellation or termination, membership benefits cease, and entitlement to any remaining benefits is forfeited.
Code of Conduct
Members agree to abide by the STAAA Code of Conduct. Breach of this code can result in immediate membership cancellation, leading to the cessation of benefits.
Payment
Membership fees are detailed on the STAAA website, varying by membership package. Fees undergo annual review, and any changes will be made by updates on our website. Concessionary rates may be offered at STAAA’s discretion, and special offers may be periodically extended to encourage member recruitment.
Payment are to be made by online payments via our sign up or members access portal. Changes to the payment method can be arranged by contacting the membership team.
Refunds are not issued upon cancellation or membership package changes.
Membership Renewal
Membership automatically renews, unless a written cancellation is submitted to the membership team.
